Unsure

I'm not sure I like this.

SpaRitual Driftwood
stamped with Essie Little Brown Dress
and Bundle Monster plate BM10

I want to be the kind of girl who wears animal prints, but I really don't think I am.  I think I'm more the kind of girl who wears floral prints.

Also, it would seem I don't really know what a giraffe looks like.  I thought it looked like this stamp.  It actually looks like this:

Giraffes at Lincoln Park Zoo, February 2011

Oh well.  It's only polish!

  1. I like the Driftwood color :-) BTW, not all giraffes are the reticulated kind, so yes, I think some of them look like that!

  2. How on earth do you manage such outstanding nail art? I can't even remember the last time I stayed still long enough to apply nail polish. Maybe I'll attempt some simple polish this weekend - you've inspired me.

  3. Oh my gosh! There are different kinds of giraffes?! Who knew? (besides SoKnitPicky!) LOL! It's coming off today though - I got a huge chip in it while running errands.

Andrea: Read my page on Nail Stamping - it is SO Easy! And almost as addictive as the Sorbetto pattern!!

  4. Wow - I think the nails look terrific! And they're neutral :-)

Thanks for your comment on Ravelry. I went back to see my knitting teacher today. I worked through the cast off questions and learned a few other things. It was so illuminating.

She basically told me I was going to have to start intuiting the lacework, rather than slavishly following the pattern because (as you know) once you start to decrease in pattern, all bets are off. Then she showed me how to do it. And your feedback is SO helpful. Between the two of you, I'm not feeling so pessimistic tonight. Not that I'm tempting fate!

  5. Oh, that's right - I hadn't thought of that. I was thinking the lace pattern was fixed in your mind by now. I'm glad you went back to see her and that you're not feeling bummed!
